The Heat Geeks recognised that engineers in the country were only trained to pass tests and lacked the fundamental knowledge of how heating systems work, how to properly size, specify and install them for maximum efficiency. To address this issue, they went through various heating textbooks and created comprehensive courses to help other engineers up-skill and become "Heat Geeks."
These courses are highly regarded in the industry and are known to be challenging. They are designed in a way that ensures full understanding of the mathematical concepts and processes before moving on to the next section. In 2022, the courses were recognised by B-Pec and became a widely recognised qualification in low-temperature heating design.
Your Boiler Experts took on this course and completed it in October of the same year. We are proud to have achieved this qualification and are now among the top few hundred engineers in the country for low-temperature heating design.
For many years, boilers and radiators have been over-sized with a one-size-fits-all approach. Although this approach works for combi boilers and standard systems, it is not very efficient and will cost a-lot in wasted energy, especially as we switch over to renewables.
