Earlier this week we received a call from a local resident in Wakefield asking for a quote to replace their Powermax boiler.
We attended the property the same day to provide a quote.
Upon the survey it was found that the original Powermax boiler had been oversized for the flat and a combi boiler would be sufficient for the clients needs. just providing hot water for a shower was the main ask.
All the quote was built on site and sent to the customer there and then and any questions were answered.
The Customer was happy with all elements of the quote and decided to go ahead with the quote.
Two days later we arrived on site with a brand new combi boiler, the old Powermax Boiler was removed and disposed of by our waste collection team along with any packaging etc.
the new boiler was mounted and connected up with brand new copper pipework. on this occasion the flue was to be routed through the loft and out of the roof. To do the roof work we used local roofing company PJ Roofing to install the new weather collar and vertical flue, ensuring that the roof was weather tight after.
To control the boiler we installed Smart Modulating Controls
Once the new boiler was installed it was then down to commissioning
We flushed the heating system so thats the new system was clean and not going to cause any issues for years to come.
We also setup smart modulating controls so when the weather is warmer outside the boiler uses less energy as apposed to when its colder. You can read more about that here
Upon leaving the job we instructed the customer how to use there new system filled out all relevant paperwork and registered the boiler with gas safe and the manufacturer.
